The itch

The thing most people ask me about is what I'm doing with my band, whether be the band I was in, the band I wanted to have, or if I plan on getting a band together again. I still don't know if I do. Tell you the truth, I would love to. But I guess I'm just not ready to put the work into it yet. Sometimes I actually feel like trading my guitars and amps in for a good accoustic and just say Fuck It!

Heath Dobbler called me last night and asked if I felt like getting into music again. A while back he had some ideas for us to start a band and do some of his own ideas that he wasn't able to do with the band he's playing in now with Clay Pigeons (formerly of 3 Cent Nickle), now apparently called The 28s. I jammed with him a while ago but decided I really wasn't ready to start another band.

To tell you the truth, right now the only thing I would do is 3 Cent Nickle. At this moment in time if Heath and Clay wanted to start 3 Cent Nickle again I would drop everything I'm doing now to do it. That was the best band I have ever been in and it was great up until the end. I still don't fully understand the total reasons for Heath and Clay to want to shelve it and do other things. I really don't see either of us accomplishing anything more worthwhile. Yeah, there was a lot of bullshit along the way. But I think we all came away from it with a better understanding, and if we were to do it again, we would do it all the more better because of it.

PS: I just visited NL's site and saw the list of artists who's songs are featured on the hockey compilations. I guess Heath decided to call our project "Heath Dobbler and the Read Head Explosion." I had no part in deciding on that name. Personally, I think it should be 3 Cent Nickle, because for all intents and purposes, that's what it is.
